The volume of the building is the result of having an orderly shape, a series of boxes in the space where each one of them is an independent, unique unit, dialoguing with its surroundings both because of its materiality and its openness to the outside.

These independent units, which do not share dividing walls between them, provide greater privacy, so there is no visual connection between the neighbors.

The owners feel as if inhabiting individual houses arranged in height, strongly linked to their surroundings with glazed planes of great proportions. A series of wooden parasols that act as a filter provide greater security to the set.

With the heart of the building having a patio that crosses the project vertically, the more closed secondary spaces, corridors, and connections are illuminated and ventilated, and the four façades are liberated to house the main living and bedroom spaces.

This second façade that is generated towards the patio is resolved with exposed concrete planes perforated by horizontal lighting slits that do not reach the ground; a predominantly closed façade that seeks to protect the inhabitants from prying eyes, while providing lighting to the corridors and toilets.

These boxes that make up each a housing unit are structured in two parts according to the functions they accommodate. One of them, more open, is where the living room, the kitchen, and barbecues are located, where the social and recreational activities of the house are developed; the other, similarly glazed, changes orientation and contains the most intimate, restful spaces.

ACCESS

Access to the units is via bridges that, due to their dimensions, create more flexible spaces in terms of their function; a preamble that anticipates what will come as if it were an arm that goes out to receive the guest. A theatrical access that allows you to appreciate, through the glass, the entire house from that point, while preventing glances towards other units. It is access and also space for use, which extends the possibilities of the rest of the apartment.

MATERIALITY

Wood, glass and exposed concrete are the materials chosen for this project.

No-maintenance noble wood for its hardness and durability reinforces the idea of sustainability while providing warmth and harmony, contrasts with concrete and refers to the trees so present in the area.

The huge thermic panels placed in the windows allow the sun's rays to pass through in winter, providing heat inside, reducing energy consumption to heat the rooms.

In summer, the façade system allows filtering the sun's rays.

The exposed concrete present in the structure and on the walls as a finish is both a structure and a finish, resulting in a project that is subtly inserted into the landscape while tending to almost completely reduce its maintenance.
